I am deep in closets this week. I have even bought a bit of Bella Notte from the outlet to dye and add to the pile of Bella Notte for my Trouvais sale. You do know that this is the best time of the year to go to flea markets, don’t you? All the sellers with their pent up stocks!
The books are a keeper…Rousseau…in French…with a lovely pattern on their c. 1800 paperback bindings. Your thoughts on bloomers? I’m on the hunt for my clothespins so I can show you a clothesline full of them…
What colors are your bedrooms these days…are we still all gray?
As always, I’m deep navy blue and white–makes me happy!
Happy closet diving. I wish I were there to witness all of the treasures.
Mary
Grays, whites and powder blues with a hint of rose colored silk taffeta.
Next week I’ll be at Morsan…you know what that means!
Oh and I don’t want to miss the sale!!! When is it again?
I’m shooting for the first day of Spring…@ March 19!
Trish, how do you always manage to show me something I can’t live without? And, yes, my bedroom is deep dusty gray with pale blue & cream. I think you would approve. xx’s
Never been; and never will be gray! I love it for other people!
Just not me!
Oh I love that velvet comforter is beautiful. I am in the process of turning towards grey in my previously neutral beige bedroom. I have just completed a post all about grey and how to use it in your home successfully. I also love the linen fabric above, what is the brand of this fabric, it might work well in my bedroom if it is a grey background, not blue. Sometimes its hard to distinguish colours on the internet.
Lee
Hi Lee! The bedding pieces are all Bella Notte. I have several of the toile fabrics…the piece above is actually a headboard slipcover, a teal color, and I have a queen duvet in light blue. I will make sure to take a photo up against white to really make the colors clear!
I just took our bedoom a soft gray and will add touches of yellow for spring and change the accent colors out for the seasons. Since I have two tapestries in our bedroom I needed a neutral color for all the colors in the tapestries. I love your collections and can’t wait to see what you’ll be offering for sale because I know it’ll be fabulous!

Debra~
Pale gray with teal, blue and turquoise accents. A bit of yellow as well.
Oh yes! I’m back to Gray! Dying since days all kind of grey tones…from light lavender to greyish dried lavender to….charcoal grey….
Still hunting for the most perfect one!
Apart from grey skies 😦 – it is just such a timeless and pleasing color, isn’t it.
Love your “laced” Boudoir pieces!
Happy Monday, xxxkarin
love your new’ish look, been off the loop for a bit. do keep the Sale in our minds, I need to go back through your posts. My room is a pale dusty gray-real and imagined. pgt
Trish,
So pretty, I love the dressing gown (?) with the blue ribbon running through it. I am currently in search of a paint color to love for our bedroom. I have a white quilt so I can choose from a vast array of beautiful colors, but it’s a challenge! Not sure I want gray.
Karen
I love having neutral walls…did a post here that shows the machinations I went through to get the perfect color. It’s great to be able to throw different colors on the bed at whim and it all still works!
Love your store! Please do visit my facebook French Market Antiques Healdsburg Ca Merci, Margaret

BRIGHT YELLOW!
Hi Trish, vintage fabrics are my downfall as well…I can’t do greys here…too much shade, but I love interiors where it is applied, in walls and accessories, especially linens…you have perfected the dying process…love all images here….looking forward to the virtual sale! N.xo
Hi Trish,
I have gone with soft shades of sea glass, porcelain blue, lavender, and white. So Peaceful and a nice contrast with my dark highboy & poster bed.
Then I have a painted drop-leaf desk that is lavender, trimmed in deeper porcelain blue with subtle gilding.
Love and hugs,
Karena

Love your photos of old textiles – something about les femmes qui aiment les pattes … as they used to say in my family.
I am going for rustic barn board floors, very pale ice blue walls….grey inspired but not, actually. Love the contrast of dark velvet with antique whites. Very nice!
