You have just made my day. I’ll carry the garden (and her smells) with me all day. Have a great one. Mary
What a wonderful way to start my day! Just beautiful Trish! Are you one of the gardens on the tour this weekend?
xo
Serena
Hi Serena! No…I’d need a team of gardeners to rid every weed and black spotted leaf! My garden’s a little un-perfect! Looking forward to giving you a tour as soon as the peonies pop though!
What a gorgeous garden! I love it all…
That is the prettiest garden I have seen!! I can only imagine the wonderful fragrance! Enjoy!!
Your garden is stunning! I am in love with that blue pincushion perennial now and see that it could possibly work in the Adirondacks….zone 4a….I want to try it! Beautiful photos! 🙂
Oh, you make me long for July…that’s when my garden will be blooming like this…right now, it’s just coming out of the ground and unfurling…you have a beautiful garden
Just fabulous! All these wonderful and well chosen varieties and colors!
And – my godness what an amazing work!!!!

Hi Karin! Every year I try to time them..seems like forever before they’ll bloom and then overnight…POP! Bought a new tree peony after envying your fabulous blooms!
Nobody does it better,
makes me feel sad for the rest,
nobody does it half as good as you,
baby baby you’re the best….
enough said, Trish, xx’s
Thank you Marsha…my first “song” of the season! Some of the best part of the garden is the serendipity. Teaches one to “go with the flow”!
I just want to say that I absolutely love your blog and I’m your # 1 follower!!!! Beautiful garden and the previous post is helping me a lot in choosing linens and bedding for my bedroom re-do. Thank you so much!

You don’t mind if I copy-cat your garden? It is absolutely beautiful. We have few options for peony in So. California but I’m going to give them a try. Love this post and the images. Thank you.
Karen
You have such wonderful mixes of color and texture in your gardens! I love the lambs ear photo and the last photo. I don’t have the climate to grow everything you do but I try!
I know I am in Kansas but when I clicked on your blog something happened and not only was I not in Kansas, I swear I landed in England! Gorgeous! I grow Gertrude J. myself (I’d be ashamed for you to see how I neglect her). Love the carefully chosen riot of color and wonderful interplay of leaf shape and color. It’s really an impressionist painting waiting to happen.
Trish,
It’s such a treat to go on a tour of your garden! Some day I will see it in person!
We’ve been mighty busy in the 2 days of the last 3 weeks that were rain-free. Do you believe that? Unfortunately, we had to declare war on our local deer, who just sheared off 3 of our Casa Blanca lily stems. The solution is mighty stinky….
Do you battle deer?
-Ann
Hi Ann…amazingly my husband was completely supportive of my getting the lot fenced and gated 19 yrs ago, And the retaining walls. And the three feet of ammended soil. I tell him he doesn’t need to buy me flowers any more! Deer is HUGE problem. Had some “break ins” last Fall and had to use deer net until fencing repaired. Just realized they don’t bother boxwood, so put a few below the gate along with erigeron, lavender, iris. So sorry about your lilies!
So beautiful Trish! I know who I’m going to come to for questions about old roses. *winks* Vanna
Your garden is fantastic ! It’s the best time when all flowers are growing…
Have a ne week-end !
Your garden looks beautiful . Merci for the postcard
Your garden pics have inspired me yet again Trish. Wow. It looks great. I’m working with my gardeners right now and moving plants according to the inspiration you’ve given me.
I found peonies at C o s t o for $11.95 and just put them in. Can’t wait to see further pics of your beautiful garden.
Thank you,
Donna
Hi Trish!
Your hard work is certainly paying off! Makes me miss California!!!!!!I love the silver with the blue and that rose that is striated white with pink is gorgeous!!!!!! I can just imagine being there in person, the fragrance must be incredible!!!!Lovely pictures, too! Thanks for the eye candy!

Dear Trish, just returned from a little trip to find your lovely post. Your garden is so incredibly beautiful now, just budding and tiny bursts of what is to come. The colour play is perfect, all my favourites. Makes me want to add more roses again to mine. I love your introduction of boxwood and cypress to the mix, it looks like a lovely jumble.
I can bet you are spending every minute out there, I certainly would! Beautiful photos as always. N.
Trish, what a beautiful garden! I’m sure you enjoy spending time there. I think I’m going to attempt a rose garden soon. Thanks for the inspiration. Have a beautiful weekend.
hello Trish Id like a bench by the foxgloves please HEAVENLY garden fay xx
Your garden is very lovely. Its interesting to see the different flowers in situ in a different climate. There is no way in my garden a foxglove could be grown anywhere near a rose! (and peonies are a total nono here). You seem to be gardening in paradise.
Trish, I can see what keep you busy and happy! I would also prioritize the outdoors more if I had a garden like that.
So beautiful and so loved. I can feel it!
Happy Mother’s day weekend to you!
The 2 cents series is up and one of these days I am hoping you want to participate! (:
Warm hugs,
Mon
You have the most gorgeous garden! I love seeing all these beautiful blossoms and can only imagine how delightful it is to walk through in person!
Hi Trish –
I’m so Inspired-! Your Garden is Exceptional-!!
Many of the Scenes would make Beautiful Paintings-!!
Thanks for the Tour – Mary
What a BEAUTIFUL garden!
Dear Trish,
looking at your beautiful garden postcard, will keep me going as my own garden has had a total breakdown this winter.
after a larger house exterior reconstruction. One bucket for weed and another one for junk.
Luckily my greenhouse is alive and well…..now storing some new plants.
Love your bourbons and your magic garden!
So very beautiful! You garden is like a Monet painting. I can tell it has been a labor of love.
I’m so glad you mentioned the scabiosa for it is such a lovely and sweet little friend with a strange name. Your foxgloves are elegant. Beautiful, beautiful garden!
My roses are in their first flush of spring blooms but my David Austins seem to be lingering behind a bit this year.
They are teasing me and I am looking forward to their full blooms as well.
I hope you are able to spend some of this Mothers Day in your exquisite garden.
Trish, garden envy here-that (along with great conviction, truth and talent) but for the moment your garden- I have added some of your photographs to my How I want my garden to look file) Not to use on my own blog- as my own garden, never! always keep track of your beautiful doings-though I don’t comment as often anymore. I how you still pop over to see me occasionally . Gaye
Your garden is absolutely stunning! The plants have that luscious verdancy which makes a walk in the garden a moment of joy and aesthetic delight.
Hi Trish. Beautiful postcards! Always enjoy your beautiful images. I am looking forward to working in my garden. One more month till freedom! Hope to see you at Chateau Sonoma’s event. hello to mother and Suki! Johan sends his regards as does Martin.
