Annie’s Attic is a wonderful skylight filled lofty space
at the back of at Sunrise Home in Northern California
that will soon be re-done to highlight their new
Collection of Rachel Ashwell’s Shabby Chic furniture…
Everything in this space is reduced and
available off the floor…
Click here for location, or just enjoy a wee bit
of window shopping…
Whatever this room’s latest design iteration…
its always my favorite spot in the store
Exotic carved and gilded panel alongside softly gleaming ebony cabinet…
frosty crystal pendants and crisp white slip-covered furniture
Against the whitewashed cinder-block walls are aged
fresco’s and countless mirrors…
And a myriad of scintillating…
and ethereal…
and magical chandeliers…
I suppose its because I’m a flea market junkie…
I love slightly cluttered “attic” like spaces…
the possibility of finding a treasure…
Love the room’s blue painted concrete floor,
white washed open beam ceiling, light colored painted
furniture and collection of silvery accessories…
Sorry…bit fuzzy…
but love the chinoiserie lamps…
Love the detail at the hem of a slip-covered chair…
Looking forward to Rachel Ashwell’s Shabby Chic Collection

Thank you for this post! I live a couple of miles from Sunrise Home and haven’t been in a couple of months. LOVE this room – the pillow in your last photo is on my bed!
Trish, this is fabulous. Where does the “Love You” pillow come from? This same shop? I’m too far away for the big furniture (which my daughter would love) & I’m coo-coo with these Dan Marty-looking pillows. xx’s Marsha
Hi Marsha…yes…same shop!
goodness Trish !! do you realize you would have a best seller..should you bring out a book with your finds, ideas and where to go…think about it. have a great week. love Colette xx
I have been in this area of the Sunrise showroom and itÊ»s just to die for. I remember telling my girlfriend, who was shopping with me, “I would just like to move in to this room…” ItÊ»s fun to see all of your pictures of this beautiful place posted on your site-theyÊ»re great!
IÊ»m so excited to hear about the Shabby Chic furniture line coming back… Does anyone know the arrival date? Thanks!
Hi Caitlin. I was told they already have the furniture in stock…waiting to thin out the inventory in the room so they can redo. Also, might have a visit from Rachel herself. I signed up for their email newsletter so I can get updates.
I love those black baluster lamps in the second photo, that ornamental wall fragment in the fourth picture, the fresco in the fifth picture, oh my goodness so many wonderful things! You find the best shops always! I hope you picked up a little something for yourself. Enjoy the rest of your weekend Trish!
Geez, Trish!
CA must be loaded with fabulous shops!
Next time we visit, may I contact you for a list of must-sees?

This is such a great shop–I can’t imagine that it could get any better!
Dear Trish, it is such a good thing that I am many miles from this amazing shop, because there is always just a little more room for one more beautiful item. Love your blog. Love your style. I agree with Colette, you would have an instant best seller should you ever decide to write a book.
Beautiful!
Your pictures are lovely. I have stopped into this shop and loved it…but that was a while ago. I guess it’s
time to make another trip. The soft hues are beautiful.
Beautiful pictures Trish, I especially love the large chandeliers. Shame it’s all so far away!
Sharon
That mirror in your first photo with the arched top and aged glass is just what I’ve been wanting! Can you snag that for me? Wink! What great shops you’ve shared with us lately! Thanks…Linsey
Sunrise Home is such a gem of a store! I’m glad it made it onto your site. I go here from time to time just to get inspired and Annie’s Attic is definitely one of my favorite rooms. I can’t wait until the Rachel Ashwell’s furntiure is in there! See you all at the opening! I hear it will be sometime in September…
What a treasure trove. I could spend hours here!
I love that mirror at the very back of the pile in your first picture. Wow! Would look so nice in our downstairs hallway.
And also agree with Marsha on the adorable pillow! So cute.
