Lene of The Essence of the Good Life has been spending the last few weeks
wrestling with a serious health issue. She is such an inspiring, courageous, talented,
and giving fellow blogger, and you would be doing yourself a favor to visit her here.
Besides her gorgeous photos of her Nordic homeland, and her beautiful posts
on design interiors, her side column quotes give you glimpses into the
sort of woman she is.
So while I appreciate my garden…
with its espaliered fruit trees….
Clematis….
geraniums…
and roses…
I’m thinking of Lena…in her beautiful garden…
and hoping she feels better and stronger every day…
The gorgeous header above is from The Green Garden Gate…
Lena’s garden blog…her Peony post here is INCREDIBLE!!!!
A favorite The Essence of the Good Life post here is about
traditional brightly knitted Norwegian mittens …

Susan

Hi Pam. Thank you. But Lene is the one with that’s incredible. She’s inspiring. I’ve got to stop griping about bad weather and computer problems!
I think this moment says the very best of blogworld. Around the world, in a different language, a woman suffers from the disease we all dread the most. Our hearts go out to one of us we do not know, have never seen, and hope, yes hope, for all the best.
So beautifully put, HBD. Thank you!
I just went to Greet and heard about Lene,, she loves flowers, and you and Greet certainly delivered. I couldn,t imagine a more special bouquet……Our best to her….Maryanne xoxo
De bien jolies pivoines chez toi aussi!!!!

Manon
Merci Manon. J’adore “pivoines” …peonies!
I’ve just been over to see the Green Garden Gate, it is totally wonderful. Every time i see photos of your garden Trish, I think, yup, just a few more weeks. I have so many of the same plants as you, just that my climate keeps us in suspense a lot longer.

Oh dear, that’s terrible news! I hope that she is on the mend very quickly, and that all is resolved…on
a lighter note, I adore when you share pictures of your garden 🙂
Hope you’re having a wonderful day,
