A few more photos from the Atelier de Campagne container sale…
Antique zinc oeil-de-boeuf, plucked from a French mansard roof line…
Bright signage and antique wrought iron grill work….
Click photos twice to enlarge…
Besides the soft tones and gentle patinas
there were some fun brights….
My sister bought these vintage fire station buckets…
Sourced from England…perfect for her two young boys…
Behind, a metal baker’s shelving system just waiting
for glass or marble shelves…bottom photo of my last post
also shows her curvy wood ciel de lit, wire baskets,
assorted concrete architectural pieces…
My 80 year old mother spryly secured a few cast iron planters
and an antique, chippy, painted, wrought iron panel..
She’s thinking of using it as a front panel to a side table….
She even managed to score a few succulents in her wire basket…
I was very temperate…but did splurge on this “Haute Provence” linen
bolster pillow at the front, a cement filial, and a few worn paperbacks…
Left behind were drifts of antique mirrors, architectural salvage, antique blue shutters..
Atelier regularly makes the trek up to Antiques by the Bay (next one Sunday)
so be sure to inquire if you’d like them to put something on their truck for you…

It was a lovely April interlude…
a bit of France, Belgium, England hand selected
and carefully unveiled in a California backyard…
Thank you Johan and Trinidad
Just loved your pictures. I found your blog about 3 weeks ago and lucky me. Several months ago, I planned a trip to visit my daughter (she lives in San Francisco) and timed it to come out to the flea market on May 2nd. I was so excited when I read your blog and was informed about Johan and Tristan’s booth at the market. Several months ago I returned to Dallas, Texas after living in the Netherlands for 2 years. I’m sure my only regret will be that I am flying and will have to limit my purchases. Thank you once again for your beautiful blog.
I thought for sure the antique zinc oeil-de-boeuf was going to come live on your fireplace. I think the Lyon women showed amazing restraint in the midst of so much loveliness. Cheers to your mom for being the spry one and for planning on more plants. Great gene pool you swim in, Madame Trouvais.
so nice to be able to see these lovely things from a distance…..beautiful
Consider yourself very lucky to have this in your own backyard!
I surely would have been tempted many times over!
great photos – what a wonderful sale!
I am lusting for that large gesso mirror – trés magnifique!
I really wanted to go to this but wasn’t in town this weekend. I should have sent my sister in my place. Those photos are pure eye candy! Thanks for sharing them!
What a fabulous array of treasures and how fun to share your shopping experience with your Mom and sister…I loved seeing everything…are those dark blue shutters or a cupboard in the last picture? That color….sigh! 🙂
Trish,
Thanks so much for sharing. They sure have very beautiful things..truly treasures.
Looks absolutely perfect, wish I could have been there but would have been a bit of a treck
I wish i was there! it does look like a treasure hunt 🙂
Hi Trish,
I loved looking at all your beautiful photos and thanks for showing us this wonderful sale.
Glad that you, your Mum and Sister were able to go home with some lovely treasures.
Hugs
Carolyn
Cool. We have one of these container sales in Toronto too – but it doesn’t have such a nice name.
