Slow Sunday mornings….
the perfect time to notice details…
smell the roses…
even if you have to imagine them from the rim
of your teacups….
The birds are busy getting their nests ready
snippets and twigs…no pearls….
The Herend Rothschild Bird cup comes with a story…
… a 19th century tale about Baroness Rothschild,
who lost her pearl necklace in the garden of her Vienna residence.
Several days later it was found by her gardener,
who saw birds playing with it in a tree.
Pearly white, bead trimmed Vaisselle covered jam pot…
All the way from Paris from my wonderful blog friend
Jermaine of French Kissed ….
What can I say…she is just the most thoughtful,
fun, smart, inspiring, and generous person…
It’s been fun figuring out this blog thing together!
…
I’m a bit like Eeyore with his honey pot and balloon…
I keep taking the lid off and playing with the spoon and
wondering what I should put in it. Cerise confiture or
orange marmalade or big crystals of turbinado sugar…
What would you put in this sweet little pot?

Jermaine took some great shots of the store and will be doing a post soon…
(hurry UP Jermaine!!!). Watch for it and check out her posts from Paris
to Monte Carlo, Cannes…and back to Paris. She’s left her daughter
Bardot in Blue behind, blogging for us from Paris…

Shall we imagine a Spring Sunday breakfast in Paris?
A glimpse of Isabelle Adjani in The Story of Adèle….
Lovely,
The only thing that is missing is all of us sitting at the table in the court yard all set with the tea cups and the Pearly white, bead trimmed Vaisselle covered jam pot…filled with Cerise confiture to put on our croissants
A Perfect Sunday then we could stroll all along the Seine River and go shopping at one of the secret Parisian flea markets filled with little treasures.
Oh to fly away with our dreams and let them lift us and sweetly inspire us to greater possibilities.
Joanny
thank you for that beauty…
gorgeous little treasures … and the little pot definitely needs to be filled with Nutella!
I think the little pot needs baby roses. The jam can come later. I think you and French Kissed are meant to be shopping and blogging together from Paris.
Perfect for Sunday morning. The store is georgous. I linked to your site this week and used one of your beautiful pictures. Thanks for posting such inspiring pictures!
Oui…
she was very set on finding you the perfect gift from france!! Glad it got to you safely…
Love the teacups too 😀

The tea cups are beautiful. The courtyard reminds me of the home I sold two years ago. Nothing to compete with this one but the big old oak tree in front of my home was surrounded, as was most of the front of the home, in gravel and all the trimmings.
I took chemo Friday and developed an upper respiatory infection this morning. Back to the doc tomorrow to see about treatment. So your post is a great distraction. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Trish,
A perfect time of the week, leisurely enjoying Sunday morning.
Lovely post and enjoyed hearing the story of the birds playing with the string of pearls, up in the tree.
Your teacups are pretty and love the gift Jermaine brought back for you ~ I would fill the pot with some delicious fraises confiture.
Happy week
Hugs
Carolyn
Your sense to combine images making me crazy ….
I also want to create you. You have real blues in your fingers.
Lots of love
Agneta
I’ve just recently found your beautiful blog and love seeing your wonderful photos! I would have to fill that charming pot with some wonderful red raspberry preserves.
Kat 🙂
You know, I’m an orange marmalade on toast every morning with coffee (and blogs) sort of person…but I see red perserves, too…cherry or strawberry. Which means I will have to make homemade scones to go with it! Love everyone’s comments! Thank you!
Joanny is right. What is missing is to eat all together in this courtyard….Thank you for sharing
GORGEOUS… lovely gifts to treasure!!!
loving the teacups 😉
