Hope you have a rosy weekend!
gorgeous post … love the Quartermaine script print – especially in the off-white and gold. And of course, the Borchgrave paper gown is exquisite.
Have a marvelous weekend – thanks for the fun post today.
I just bought tab tops in the stripes like the first picture with the bed and striped pillow…burnished red…faded red…I am liking these stripes…interesting and versatile…I should paint some writing on an upholstered piece. I like this and your last post. Thank you Trish.

Just give me color, and let me dream —
your blog is a beautiful place that inspires, colors the imagination and lets us dream
Have a dreamy love filled and inspiring week end,
Joanny
My bedroom is similar to the cabbage and roses with fabric on the nightstands and head board,,,
love it,,
Except for paining my dining room Pratt and Lambert’s “Regimental Red” in 1993, I am not really a red person. I later started my collection of red transferware and I seem able to incorporate it here and there without much of a struggle.. It is really much easier than one would think to play off of. I had one agent/client who insisted that every property I photo styled for her be accented in red. And there are so many delicious flavors of red. Red toile and red stripes…all such wonderful images and the French still adore red. ~jermaine~
Hi Trish,
The Borchgrave paper gown is wonderful and love all the other beautiful images you have shared today.

Love all these red… I brought back with me from a turkish trip an oukbekhistan dress similar to the one you show … I love it
Of all the colors of the rainbow…red is probably my least favorite…however, that being said, I may have to rethink red.
That was amazing!
I cannot get over these images you have put together…they are just stunning!
Red is such a warm and rich color – I find great comfort in it. My Mother uses
a lot of red in the home, and perhaps that’s exactly why. Thanks for such a
lovely post – I missed visiting your blog while I was away đŸ™‚

I appreciate this ode to red. I know in your heart gray and neutrals will always sing your name. Texture will win over pattern. Calm over organized chaos. It was lovely of you to make your blog well red for the moment for those of us who will always love red, but who also love a woman who follows her own style and shares it with us in such beautiful images.
Trish, your blog is absolutely amazing! I love everything vintage, antique and French and your posts are wonderful. I’ve only just found you but I’m sure I’ll be back many times. Keep up the great work!
Hope you had a sunny weekend.
Love the buttons and the antique French bed is just so….well, FRENCH! LOL!
OK, so I’m drooling over those toile pelmets… there is a lot of red in my home, which I inherited from my mother, and I have added more, including a collection of red transferware… LOVE all your red inspiration!
Just found your blog and I love it! I just purchased Josephine Ryan’s Essentially French book and was searching for images online.
I am thoroughly enjoying your blog!
thank you for such inspiration in fabrics and textiles.
I just love that Script Fabric by Carolyn Quartermaine! It’s so beautiful!
