Sun is streaming through my office windows…
That’s a 19th century multi-ruffled cotton voile petticoat
with silk ribbons I added at the waist and down the back…
Old galvanized tin buckets that store a mishmash of cards,
fabric scraps, flowers, etc…basket trays that hold rotating
treasures like my 18th century embroidery pieces…
and my yellow striped “French Ballroom” curtains…
Kay O’Toole’s white and yellow papier-mache columns
from my Golden Yellow post here
Love yellow? More sunny posts below…

Peonies are starting to jut up through the warming ground…
All leaves…tender stalks…tremulous portents of Spring…
I’ll be obsessively counting how many buds emerge this year…
With weeks to go before they look like this photo…
Give me a sunny day and I can accomplish great things!
Trish, that petticoat is just stunning! And the light of the pictures makes the ensemble so magic.
Love the mish-mash blend of textures and colors, particularly the galvanized tin with the petticoat. If I were a fairy godmother, I’d give you all the sunshine your need just so you could create such wonderful things to share.
What we will do for sun…..super gorgeous petticoat Trish, xv.
It is the sun that allows us to see the shadows and highlights on life! Great post.
Theresa…you are so profound! And all those freezing nights will net me a great peony crop! Life is so funny that way!
Trish
You bring sunshine to our lives with your beautiful posts.
Sheer delight!

That is such a lovely thing to hear! The perfect end to a sunny day!
Hi Trish,
I adore your pretty petticoat and love the way the sun is streaming through the window.
Hoping that you have sunny days ahead, so your beautiful peonies will make an appearance.
Hugs
Carolyn
Dearest Trish!
Thank you for coming on by! Your office is gorgeous! My studio where I write, draw, play my harp and blog is under “construction”. I am waiting to get a French settee and move out some not-so-beautiful furniture out of there, and then I will have my dream studio! Lovely pictures as always chez toi. Bonne nuit chère Trish!

I can’t wait to see your peonies – they give me such hope for the future of my slow growing specimens! Leigh
I love that petticoat and how you captured the light streaming through the window. Looks like you create lovely places to hold your treasures.

beautiful images evocative of our elusive springtime!
An enchanted petticoat
So jealous that your peonies are peeking up from the ground. We won’t see anything peeking for a few more weeks out here in upstate NY. We could still get snow. It has been known to snow on Mother’s Day. Although that is rare. I will have to settle for cut flowers for now.
We had our first sunny day today in what seems like ‘forever’! What is it about the Spring time sun that brings a smile to our faces and makes us want to breathe deep all the fresh air?
Trish, your petitcoat is stunning and I love your peonies …We ‘re having our first sunny week in Provence, we can eat outside and see la vie en rose
