Ranunculus (have always loved rolling that off my tongue). my morning anti-alzheimer’s: ranunculus blooming in a wedgewood tea cup flowered by heart, hand. My haiku not so swell. My adoration for blooms where ever they appear never ceases. I did a garden book list over at JCBs web site. Know you are in a different zone (literally, figuratively!!!). After holidays, maybe your garden book list?
Hi HBD…quick favorites: Penelope Hobhouse (great info on assembling beautiful borders varying leaf, textures, using gray foliage in the garden), Russell Page (all about structure, form), Edith Wharton’s Italian Gardens.Click on links for preview. XO
Hi Trish! Wow! That photo has a lot of punch! It is beautiful! I hope that you manage a little time of calm and peace during this crazy holiday season!
Warm wishes, Laura
Bonjour Trish! No there is hardly a busier time of year. All the more reason to sit down and and have a relaxing cup of tea! Beautiful teacups, are they yours? Hope you have a little time for tea.
Take care and enjoy a restful weekend!
Great Minds Great Books: have them all and love them all. That Russell page was a big eye opener. Loved the story that he put “gardener” as his occupation on his passport when by then he was a megastar! Enjoy the days, but sometimes the hours are just plain nuts.
Happy Friday! Beautiful photo. You are channeling my mother with that photo…pink was her favorite color and her teacups were one of her more cherished possessions. So, so pretty.
Beautiful image, especially at Christmas. I still hold all these treasures in high esteem, flowers and china, what could be more lovely. Just found your blog through French Blue. Thank you.
