I have always been fond of Gray and these beautiful images confirm my admiration. I think it is one of the reasons I am drawn to silver objects dressed in gray coats of patina and tarnish. A dear friend of mine who is Parisian and a classically trained artist reminds me every winter as the Gray settles over Paris, that Gray is actually the color our eyes crave the most. His statement initially caught me off guard, but I have begun to see the truth in it. As these gorgeous images illustrate, Gray is the perfect juxtaposition color for favorites like pink roses, greenery, crisp white or creamy dishes and linens…it just gets along so well with almost anything. As usual, Trish, your well trained eye brings us a wonderful package of beauty in every post!
Hi Jermaine…thanks for the info. I am seriously contemplated repainting the master bedroom gray (kinda green tinged cream now). Working through the impulse via the blog…
Your images are always so beautiful and I love that I rarely see them elsewhere. Gray is a favorite of mine. It is moody and peaceful, both of which I love in interior design.
Very nice compliment, thank you. Love moody.
Gorgeous imagery.Le Marais is second only to Place de Vosges as my favorite places in Paris.Love your blog.Definitely one of the prettiest in the blogosphere.

Such pretty pictures. I finally got my first piece of Astier de Villate on my recent trip to NY (at John Derian). Love it.
