One of a pair of Italian Rococo console tables…
“… with silver gilt base and faux marble painted tops, mid 18th Century. The curvilinear movement of the serpentine top is followed in the frieze by an undulated open garland and flower motif joined in the middle to form this typical “Barocchetto” pierced cartouche with carved, stylized leaves. The ornamental motifs are linked with two boldly carved double scrolled legs ending in modified hoof feet.”
