Hoping to wake to one more day of sunshine
before the rain returns…
My favorite mornings are when the sun breaks over the hills,
quietly filters through the windows and then sweeps broadly across
the floorboards until it lights the far corners of the room. After so many
damp, cloudy days, and especially on a Sunday, I like to stay in bed long
enough to admire all the patterns and textures that emerge from their
winter gloom.
