In Cheryl’s words…
This work speaks to the expansion of society’s traditions. The dress represents a
structure that I feel needs to be redefined to fit with the world today. Keep the hammer
ready at all times to break the mold and have the courage to change the old script.

Wow! I would love to get to know this girl. I’m just in love with what she said about keeping the hammer ready at all times to break the mold and having the courage to change the old script. Powerful. Thanks for sharing all of this. I’ve missed hearing from you. Mona
As we know there are no coincidences–breaking molds is exactly what I have been meditating on this morning. Trove is a wonderful store/experience. The inventory choice are poignant and beautiful–now I see some of the background behind their wonderful shop.
breath-taking….
Life at the hammer ready. I am one with that. Loved the art, the ideas, the point of view. This morning it is my 10 pound sledge hammer, my mason’s hammer and my small sledge hammer as I continue to rebuild a stone wall. I just turned 61 on Friday and I here to tell you slamming a hammer does not get easier with age so it’s best to stay in practice. Hope your garden is giving you a beautiful curtain call this fall.
I’d LOVE to see that wall, HBD. Installation Art! Sadly…deer found another chink in our armor and devastated my roses. Bought roses at Costco to tide me over and still hoping for one last show…in six weeks?
so fascinating… and what talent.

AS always Trish I learn something here……Sorry the deer are reaping the benefits of all your hard work on the roses… Thank God for Costco…….Maryanne xo
