Lovely day at the flea market…
Here’s a few quick shots…
Lots of busts…
this was a particularity serene one…
Loved and bought these antique French linen sheets with
embroidered initials…
Seller Karen Silen sells periodically on
Ebay under “La Maison Violette”
always French street signs…
and succulents in metal drawers…
something about the glaucose tones of both plant and container
Bright fall morning casting sunshine over shutters, urns…
Do you have one of these in your garage?
somehow more charming with a wee bit of rust…
A cache of antique photos
in rusty wire basket…
Big Daddy’s merchandise
…all in a row
he brought these gorgeous doors here
Have eyed these Belle Époque chandeliers
and sconces for months…
another view of the gorgeous detail here
Huge assortment of friezes
and moldings..
and other architectural salvage
from antique French churches…
Lots of books, antique wooden shoe forms
nice mantle clock…nice colors…
This vendor arranges her displays in the dark…
does a lovely job with this grouping of arrows,
American Indian and wood framed bird etching…
Tiny Belgian sachets…
don’t let a bit of your Belgian grain sacks go to waste…
first Sunday of every month…

The treasures you found this weekend were so much more than the pickings up here in the mountains! But I did spy those silvered glass bottles and love the one and only one I have! Love the grain sack sachets too…
Take care, Laura
Hi Trish,
I loved seeing all the delightful treasures you found at the flea market.
What a fantastic place to go ~ I wished we had some like that here {sigh}
The embroidered bed linen, you bought, is lovely, and the French clock.
And yes, I have an old bike that is a little neglected like that.
Happy week
Hugs
Carolyn
I was at the Alameda Fair today as well. I recognize photos from the Atelier de Campagne and Big Daddy booths and I saw the man with the friezes. But, I’m disappointed that I missed the belgian sachets because I would have bought some. Hmmm….maybe I missed an aisle. It seemed particularly large and full today.
Anyhow, you made this monthly event look so lovely with these photos. One could imagine you were shopping in France.
Another fine example of your great eye. Sounds a bit off key coming from me ~ but who needs France!? This flea looks fantastic. With the unfavorable exchange rate and shipping costs plus the overall hassle, sometimes it is far more compelling to shop close to home.
These stands are gorgeous !! I love the way they put things together , the american antiques dealers are the best to set ut !!!
Lovely displays, hard to choose what I liked best. Sea Witch
Great finds… thanks for sharing!

Great antiques-market! I see many things I could fall in love with
Do I understand well that you live in France or am I mistaken?
Anyway, you seem to have inexhaustible archives of beautiful and inspiring pictures!!
I´ll be back, best regards,
Marjolijn
